Susannah’s Scrumptious Savoury Pasta


This is a great pasta dish which turns ordinary pasta into something quite sensational.

Serves 4

1 jar of Susannah’s Sauces Scrumptious Savoury

chorizo, sliced thinly into rounds

1 courgette, sliced thinly into rounds

225g mushrooms, sliced thinly

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

200g crème fraiche

1 handful of grated parmesan

455g/11lb penne, farfalle or pasta of your choice


Slice the chorizo into thin rounds and place in a large frying pan over a medium heat with the olive oil. Once the chorizo is browned remove and place on some kitchen towel. Now add the courgettes and mushrooms and cook until soft. Turn off the heat.

Meanwhile put a large pot of water on to boil. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to the packet instructions. When cooked, drain in a colander.

Just before the pasta is cooked, turn the heat back on to the courgettes and mushrooms and add the chorizo. Stir in the jar of Scrumptious Savoury with the crème fraiche and as soon as the pasta is cooked and drained add it to the sauce.

Mix everything together and serve straight away with the parmesan sprinkled over the top.
